Happy Birthday

Did you know that every year around your birthday the Sun returns to the exact position in the sky as it was the day you were born? This is called a Solar Return. Investigating the position that the planets are in during your Solar Return can give you a great deal of insight on your upcoming year. So how do you investigate that? Obviously you will need to know the exact time of your birth from your birth certificate or other accurate source. Birth time readings are longer and include more detailed astrological information. But there is an alternative if you do not know the exact time of your birth. Some people can predict it just by using other defendant information -- such as house, moon and ascendant placement --

But then again, whats up with all these astrological mambo-jumbo all the sudden? The answer is pretty simple. Today is my 26th birthday. Hehe. On my birthday, I like to check what would be my horoscope for the next year or what to expect in the future. Well I don't really believe it 100% yet it is fun to read and there is no harm in reading something especially if it is all about you. This makes me wonder what would other people do on their birthday. What would be your own personal tradition when celebrating your birthday? Will you contact all your old friend or write a special note on your diary? Or will you go on a special place that really memorable to you? Whatever you do, do you realize that you only do it during your birthday. Perhaps, that is what your birthday is all about.. Think about it.

Desk Horoscope

Today I'm back to the office. I work at the Petronas Twin Tower, one of the tallest building in the world people said. For me, I have no idea how tall is it..:) My little cubicle is located at level 59. I work as an Operational Engineer. To be honest, I never imagine that one day I shall be an engineer. In fact, I don't think my current job scope is related with engineering. My main task is basically act as a 2nd level support whenever there is an interruption of computing services for Petronas staff. Enough about that, I will share with you more about my job later but in the meantime, lets move on to the real topic for today.

People said that your desk reflect who you are? If you are a student, what you keep inside your locker will show a little bit of your personality and if you are a worker like me, what you put in your cubicle or office will give a brief description on what type of person you are. How true is that? Take me as example, I got a small aquarium at my desk, about 1ft in length and height. Inside, I have 4 Neon Tetra fishes and 2 Yamato shrimp. Beside that, i have a big poster of Sea Turtle next to the tank. Other than that, I arrange all kind of souvenirs that I got from my officemate too at the cubicle wall side by side. Based on that information, can you guess what kind of person I am? A fun thing to do is try and observe what your friend have at their locker or cubicle. Then you may guess what kind of person he/she is. Let see if the theory really work or not.. ;)

By the way, I love nature and sea. I don't talk much but I'm a very friendly person. So if you guess me correctly from the previous description that I gave you about my cubicle, then congratulation to you!

As Fragile As A Baby

I'm back from visiting Ady Naufal. A very cute baby boy that just 10 days old. Its also nice to hear that her mom is also doing well at this point of time. His skin is still reddish and that little baby is very fond to sleep.

When I talk with Naufal mom, Mrs. Idura, she share with me a very interesting story. Here in Malaysia, especially among Malays, we had a strong belief in dream. Few days before Naufal was born, Idura had a dream and she keep shouting Naufal in the dream. Idura has never heard that name before and yet she kept shouting that name until she woke up. Several days later she dream of going to a school and there some young school children saw her with a baby and ask for the name. Immediately, she gave 'Naufal' as the answer. And so that's how Ady Naufal got his name.

Mystery as it seem how would you react to such dream? Do you believe everything has been meant to be? In this case, long before the baby was born, do you believe that there is already a name decided for the baby? Think about it.. As for me, I believe that certain thing has been fated and God always work in a mysterious ways.

Too bad I didn't get to snap Naufal picture. My friend did bought a new digital camera that day but we forget that we need to charge the battery at least 8 hours before we can use it. Lol.

Welcome to Good Karma

Welcome to Good Karma blog. To some of you, the term karma would not be something that you normally encounter in your daily life. But then again, what is karma?

Karma (Sanskrit: कर्म from the root kṛ, "to do") is a word of ancient origin meaning action or activity and its subsequent results (also called karma-phala, "the fruits of action"). It is commonly understood as a term to denote the entire cycle of cause and effect as described in the philosophies of a number of Dharmic Religions such as Hinduism and Buddhism.

Karma is a sum of all that an individual has done, is currently doing and will do. Individuals go through certain processes and accompanying experiences throughout their lives which they have chosen, and those would be based on the results of their own creations: "karma". Karma is not about retribution, vengeance, punishment or reward. Karma simply deals with what is. The effects of all deeds actively create past, present and future experiences, thus making one responsible for one's own life, and the pain and joy it brings to others. In religions that incorporate reincarnation, karma extends through one's present life and all past and future lives as well.

My name is Sha and this blog is all about what is happening in my life, interesting people that I met and many more. Today is a big day for me since I am going to meet my old friends from university.
